The new E7 handset from Nokia is a high end smartphone incorporating not only a fully functional touchscreen but also a QWERTY keypad, ensuring the model will appeal to all corners of the market.
The E7 incorporates a great range of multi media facilities, ensuring that not only video and photographs look great, but also that the on board music facilities will please users looking to utilise the unit as a portable audio player. Video capture is indeed impressive. Thanks to HD recording capabilities, the E7 shoots your footage at a resolution of 720P and at a frame rate of 25 per second. Video stabilisation technology ensures that the results are as wobble free as possible. A nice feature found on this model is the HDMI port, meaning linking up to a compatible HD ready TV is not a problem. Your files are saved to the phones high capacity 16GB of storage memory, however those requiring a little more space can take advantage of the micro SD card slot and increase this by up to 32GB. The handset also features a secondary, front facing camera which is perfect for conducting video calls. As a camera phone the handset also performs admirably, with a high quality of image thanks to the 8 mega pixel still shot facility. Music wise the phone is superb, the high quality 4″ screen able to display cover art that looks crisp and colourful. Nine different audio formats are supported by the model, and the unit can even handle audio files at a super high quality of 320Kbps.
